YMCA Social Impact offers a diverse range of programs spanning five main areas of service delivery: Schools’ Breakfast Program, Vocational Schooling, Community Housing, Enterprise and Training, and Community Centres. Staff are employed from varied professions and speciality fields, including teaching, social work, psychology, counselling, community development, youth work, social enterprise, and tenancy management.
YMCA Social Impact officially operates as Y-Care (South East Queensland) Inc. and is the charitable arm of Y Queensland, previously known as YMCA Queensland.
Should you wish to support a great organisation who provides the opportunity for young people, youth and the community navigate their education through our Y Schools, housing, living experience, food security - access to food through our Breakfast program either at our main office, or at one of the nearly 500 schools we now support - please engage with us and see how we can find a great worthwhile role to support children and families. Our Op Shops - 1 at Mango Hill and 1 at North Lakes, 1 at Upper Mt Gravatt are always looking for Volunteers. Our Community Centres - 10 of them are keen to find people who want to use their spare time and bring their knowledge and experience to our organisation.
